Four freedoms, four reasons

Small poems about great things, born from reading Lauri Rauhala's holistic understanding of experience. Studying during the summer is a real challenge. 😛

After the poem, a few more "serious thoughts".

Four freedoms, four reasons

My body is but dust.
It does not belong to me.
My spirit is the light of the stars.
It is eternally mine.
My freedoms are four birds,
four colours that carry my heart,
for whom I am here.

One is red. It is emotion,
the warmth of the sun.
One is white. It is faith,
the silent wind.
One is blue. It is intuition,
the glimmer of the sea.
One is black. It is knowledge,
the everlasting rock.

Philosophies from different eras offer their time-bound answers to eternal fundamental questions about the purpose of life, but the world does not come fully complete (Rauhala, 2009, pp. 184–185).

Amidst all this wonderment, individuals can view their own experiences through the worldview they have chosen for themselves and move forward.
We are in relationships with each other, in the manner of our own existence, connecting, experiencing, living together, reflecting each other's meanings.

For me, writing poetry serves as a grounding force in contemplating life's wonders and experiencing its many different meanings.

Thank you for reading my blog.
Thank you for your time – let's take care of each other.
